Death Before Dishonor
Uh oh, looks like Scott just got his first tattoo. And lucky for him, I was around to take pictures of the "it doesn't feel like much" event.
It started when I called my mom to see if she wanted to go to Borders. "Negatory good buddy," she said, "Scott's getting his first tat tonight, and I have to pick up the tattoo artiste. You should come over and take some of them photographs of it." So after Jen and I were finished not enjoying the SBC coffee at our local bookstore, we headed over to my parents' house to watch Scott bleed ink.
The setup was professional - Chad (the tattoo artist) instructed Scott how to sterilize the equipment, and he had brought a special sterilizing oven with him to make sure all the nasties were truly dead.
After copying the outline of the tattoo drawing onto Scott's left forearm, the work began. Scott was pretty stoic, but every now and again he'd wince, and eventually his head was just resting on the table. The tattoo was finished around 12:45AM (they started around 10:45), and it looked great. I'll take some more pictures in a week and post them here as well.
