The Tastiest Brain

On November 12th, I aged a year, as I often do. I don't know what it is about November twelfths that age me so, but Jen was there to cheer me up. How did she do this? She combined two of my favorite things - zombies and cupcakes.

The original recipe and idea came Xsomnis's Flickr page.  Jen's modified version used a red velvet cake recipe (from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World) instead of store mix, and the butter cream frosting from the same book.  The brains are variously colored chocolates melted together to get that appetizing gray color.  After combining the cupcakes, frosting, and brain, the finishing touch of dyed caramel is drizzled on top.  Sweet, sweet brrraaaaainnssss.
