Once more we embark on the family & friends vacation to the Outer Banks!

This year was one pretty different from 2020 - the grown-ups were all vaccinated, more places were open, and we had even more Nintendo Switches (good?). As a bonus, our 8 hour drive down only took 10 hours (ugh). By now, the vacation trundles along in its well-worn grooves, and this one had some special moments too. A lot of these moments involved eating delicious food (tacos, falafel, pizza, wings, curry, lumpia, and too many pastries and sweets to list). We also did some other things, like:

• Go to the Bodie Island Lighthouse
• Play Breath of the Wild
• Swim around in a tide pool
• Use our glowsticks for a night walk on the beach
• Think hard about the next meal
• Indulge in cheesecake
• Swim in the pool
• Play Breath of the Wild
• Celebrate E's birthday
• Paint our nails
• Tie-dye shirts and towels
• Fly a kite
• Play Breath of the Wild
