The British Museum...

...contains over 2 miles of walking space. And some exhibits too. We checked out the Egyptian stuff first. There were sarcophogi and mummies, but the really iimpressive stuff was the stonework that had been brought back by the British during their reign of Egypt. Whole walls had been shipped to the museum. In the Greek and Roman exhibits there is statuary and wall carvings from the Parthenon (which the Greek government would like back). The Roman Britain exhibit contains shields, swords, jewelry from the Roman occupation. At the center of the museum is the domed Reading Room: a three storey library and study room.
