July 9th - Irish Stud, Japanese Gardens, Cemetary, Country ride, Abbey ruins

A lot of stuff for one day, eh? Grandma hired a driver for the day, and he took us to some very interesting places. The first stop was the Irish National Stud, a thoroughbred farm. There was a beautiful Japanese garden on the farm's grounds.

Our next stop was a cemetery. It was unusual because it was a German cemetery for pilots shot down during World War II. The gate was made out of the metal from the downed airplanes, and was very hard to move.

After we'd driven awhile we stopped at the top of a valley and got some nice pictures.

The last stop was at a ruined abbey (I don't know the name of it).
