Sequoia - Day 1

After a long flight across the country, and an even longer drive to Three Rivers, CA, we finally arrive at Sequoia National Park.

We took a quick peek at the park before dinner and sleep. We got into the park around 5:30PM, and purchased a 7-day pass and drove about 3 or 4 miles into the park. The yucca are in bloom right now, along with a myriad of wild flowers.

We ate dinner at the Gateway Lodge, which has a great view of the river. Ducks and squirrels inhabited the rocks below, hoping for scraps of food. The food was decent - brie followed by ribs/chicken (me) and seafood crepe and pork tenderloins (BW).
