Pikes Peak & Red Rocks

We were out in the greater Denver area for work last week, and we took the time to do some sightseeing.

We arrived on an early flight, so PM and I headed to Pikes Peak.  At the summit - 14,110 feet above sea level - we were woozy from the thin air and our fat bellies.  The drive up & down the mountain was fun, especially while lightheaded.  The Garden of the Gods isn't too far from Pikes Peak, so we drove through the amazing rock formations before heading back to Denver.

After LD arrived, the three of us went to Red Rocks amphitheater and walked up & down the long stair case.  Got some souvenir t-shirts so that people know we're classy.  There's a fantastic, mostly west coast, chain called L & L Hawaiin Barbecue, which we ate at twice.  Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Aurora area.
