Highbury House...

...is not too many miles away from Bunratty Castle. It was a nice Tudor-style B&B. Kristen and I had a room on the second floor, and Grandma and Mom had a room on the first. For breakfast (on the 21st) I had a "traditional" Irish breakfast, which really means PROTEIN, and lots of it. Thin-sliced ham (the Irish version of bacon), two kinds of sausage (links of KFC and a patty with lots of seeds) and fried eggs and cereal. The coffee was thick Joan-style java (watch out for the grounds at the bottom). Overall I liked the breakfast, but I should probably go for tea instead. Our hostess, Rosemary, was very kind and allowed us to borrow her iron and board (after we turned our power converter into a smoking heat-source).
