I don't have a lot of crazy descriptions for this part of the weekend. This was the largest of big days. If you'd asked me three years ago if I could see myself getting married to the most intelligent, stunning girl imaginable, I'd have said something smooth like "nuh uh." But now, I guess I'd say "uh huh." Wow, what a difference a few years can make.
I was super nervous. Jen and Bethany were sick but walking around. Josiah and Scott were barely upright. Once the music was finished, Jen sat down in a thoughtfully provided chair. The ceremony went off without a hitch (see what I did there?) and Josiah rallied and delivered the ring in the agreed upon fashion. I don't really remember much after that except for colorful puffed rice missiles assailing us from every angle as we tried to make our escape.
It was all such a blur...all I know is that I've been blessed, big time. I can only pray that I'm always the best man I can be. I love you, sweetie. |

All I remember is that it was hot, but I made it. Mom, Kim, and Val sang a Mad Agnes song, Dad walked me down the aisle and my best friend was waiting for me at the end. I love you, my butterscotch-coated crinkle cut french fry coconut-encrusted nummy grumpkin graham encrusted choco-dipped marshmallow!
And I got my recessional: fruity pebbles and birdhouse in your soul! Thanks, baby, for making it happen! |
